I have lived and worked in Pembrokeshire for almost 20 years leaving Ireland and having trained as a wheel thrower at Jersey Pottery where it was the process I enjoyed most for many years.

I now experiment with hand building and more recently casting. I frequently use fossils and shells going back to a period in Ireland where I collected them from beaches and quarries to turn them into polished forms. Cow parsley also features strongly and I wait each year for it to appear in the Pembrokeshire hedgerows to create my delicate translucent lanterns.

My work has evolved over the years from highly glazed earthenware to unglazed porcelain and now bone china as I am increasingly interested in smooth polished forms again, allowing the use of subtle decoration.
