My paintings are poems of Atmosphere and Emotional weather, each piece a constructed abstracted landscape that offers the viewer a chance to be drawn into a different space, an invitation to re-experience the evanescent mysteries of time and space. Like a poem they evoke half remembered atmospheres and moments that trigger emotions and memories conjured by the peculiar space specific to each individual painting. In this way my paintings are often viewed from a personal and emotional position rather than politically or empirically. They gradually become evocations of the vestigial qualities of time and space. My paintings are bothered by emotional weather.
