Kim Dewsbury – Dymunwn fod yn flodyn – I’d wish to be a Flower. After Hedd Wyn

£1,650.00

2018. Oil on canvas. 36cm x 60cm.

The ‘Black Chair’ was won by the poet Hedd Wyn six weeks after he was killed in 1917 in the Great War; Hedd Wyn has since become a symbol of that lost generation in Wales. My visits to ‘Yr Ysgwrn’, Hedd Wyn’s home, have inspired a series of paintings.
