Layered Landscape III is a mixed-media work exploring how Brecon Beacons upland landscapes comprise elements both above and below ground. The artist suggests, simultaneously, austere surfaces and, through collage, drawing, wash and scraping, vegetation over peat with ancient roots highlighted in silver.
