William Pierce – ‘The City of London’

I did this drawing in the city of London. I found it interesting capturing the flow of commuters passing by and the bustle of London.

My work focuses on cityscapes, especially London. I am interested in capturing the movement of people. I enjoy working from life, but also use preliminary drawings and photographs as a source material. I studied for a foundation diploma in Fine Art at the Byam Shaw School of Art (2010-2011) and then studied for a degree in Fine and Applied Arts at Canterbury Christ Church University (2011-2014) and then the drawing year (postgraduate diploma) at the Royal Drawing School (2015).
