FINE ART Graham Hadlow
Concentrating exclusively on watercolour, Graham Hadlow has lived and worked in Pembrokeshire since 1970 finding Wales a rich source of inspiration for his paintings.
A Yorkshireman by birth, Graham studied Creative Design at Loughborough College of Education.
In 1970 he joined the staff at Greenhill School, Tenby, where he taught ceramics, being appointed Head of Art and Design in 1986. Art has always played an important part in Graham’s life, but it was not until 1988 that he begun to devote more of his leisure time to painting. Having acheived some success, he took the decision in 1998 to leave teaching in order to concentrate full-time on his painting.
His subjects are wide ranging, but Graham has a particular affection for boats and estuaries, with wide skies playing their part in producing atmospheric watercolours. Graham has had several one-man exhibitions at various venues in Pembrokeshire as well as exhibiting widely in Wales and England. Graham also teaches at workshop classes and art society demonstrations.
